One of the fantastic benefits of being a guest at the Belen River Tarpon Lodge is that you can river and offshore fish – all in the same day. After a great breakfast we headed for the Petaquila River and then the Volcan Reef. Check out the pics of some of our catches. We caught a 25lbs Great Barracuda river fishing casting poppers in the nearby Petaquila River, and a 45lbs Wahoo offshore fishing the Volcan Reef. Afterwards, we relaxed in hammocks and then we capped the day off watching an incredible sunset.
Thanks to the staff and crew for a great time. I look forward to returning next fall.
