EMPOWERING: Along with strengthening the local economy, we are committed to enriching the lives of the entire community that has opened its arms to us through improving the town’s infrastructure, offering employment opportunities, protecting its environment and helping to educate its children.
COMMUNITY ACTION: Our primary focus is community engagement in acts of service such as coordinating town clean-ups, beach clean-ups and basic maintenance, as well as teaching English in the local school to empower students for greater educational and broader employment opportunities, and community celebrations like Christmas parties for the local kids.
TEAM EFFORT: Along with Stan Astrachan, who leads COMMUNITY ACTION, all members of the Belen River Tarpon Lodge team are encouraged to participate in these projects as a way of giving back and saying “thank you” to the incredible people of Belen. Our guests are welcome to join in on any of our projects that might be happening while you’re visiting with us.
